Welcome to Speedwell TT Club



We have just celebrated our 4TH year in this short space of time the club has gained over 92 new members and this continues to rise.

The youngest player is 7 yrs old with our oldest player being 80yrs old, so as you can see the sport of table tennis is open to a massive age group, this is probably the reason why the sport is so popular.

Speedwell table tennis club is situated in the town of Staveley nr Chesterfield.
Located at the Speedwell rooms on Inkersal Road .

We are open Tuesday 7PM to 9 pm sundays 7pm to 9pm
We offer a program of structured table tennis designed to improve the players ability from beginners to improver upwards.

The staffs are volunteers who give up their time freely to help benefit the other players in the club. We also have paid coaches who visit the club.
The reward is to see the improvement that their help as given to each player.

Childrens abilities develop at an amazing rate if they are given the correct guidance and knowledge and this in turn gives the child a sense of achievement which improves his or her self esteem.

The venue at the Speedwell rooms is fantastic with over 10 top of the range tables to play on. The local Staveley Town Council also put some fantastic sports lighting in the hall this has improved the facilities.
ladder board, Dunlop skills awards, umpire award, and the bats skills are available at the club on practice nights to help members improve their skills and knowledge at table tennis.

The club currently has different levels of coaches from level 2 through to level 4
Three adult members have passed a level 2 coaching course; this will bring the club to having 7 level 2 coaches on our staff.

The club also has a resting room where refreshments can be obtained or used for meetings

Speedwell Table Tennis club is striding to become a top venue for the sport of table tennis and are well on the way to being just that.
The club has gained Premiership at Participation level for 3yrs now and also gained Club Mark . The club has just signed up on the schools club links with one of the largest schools in the area netherthorpe school of science also we are coaching in 6 other schools in the staveley and chesterfield areas.
With the responsibility this brings the club will able to improve and go on to greater things which will benefit all our members
