Peter 10yrs and Frances baker 12yrs have been chosen to attend regional table tennis training sessions at Redlands table tennis club.
Peter and his sister Frances have only been playing for 2yrs this august 2006.
They played in the chesterfield table tennis league last season and showed some great potential, peter having 74% average in division six.
Mr Derrick Marples who coaches at the club on Tuesday night saw they would benefit from going to the regional table tennis training.
It is quite an a achievement for the club to have 2 members who had not played table tennis before to have them attend the East midland regional training sessions, in which it is possible for them to represent the East midlands regional table tennis B Squad.
Peter and Frances are always playing and practice all the time, and this is their reward which if they continue they will go on to greater things Back to top
